To protest a possible 20% fee increase at the CSUs, the Students for Quality Education (SQE) held a 48-hour rally and protest outside the CSU chancellor's office in Long Beach, Calif. from Sunday, July 19 to Tuesday, July 21, when the trustees met and eventually voted on a 20% fee increase.
On July 21, the protests grew stronger. See
