In women's soccer, Long Beach State faced off against University of San Diego at Drake Stadium, UCLA in the Sweet Sixteen on November 20. Three years ago, LBSU and USD squared off in the NCAA first round on the same field. This time, LBSU won 1-0 to become the first Big West women's soccer team ever to advance to the Elite Eight.
